ANDREA KIRK SUMMER ART WORKSHOP
Dive into summer with these cool art projects! Each student will learn how to effectively use two new mediums: --Scratchboard and Prismacolors.
We will first draw exotic birds, then scratch them into beautiful rainbow masterpieces using scratchboards and scratching tools. This lesson will teach value, texture, and contrast. Next, we will draw realistic bubbles on black paper. The students will learn how to use multiple colors to create stunning reflection (like actual bubbles). And lastly, what's more fun than learning how to draw refreshing, colorful treats? Using Prismacolors, students will learn how to draw twist, ice cream cones using multiple colors and shading techniques. And, toppings? Of course! We'll add those too, for the perfect summer treat that will have you craving the real thing. |

All supplies can be found on amazon.com. - 24 pack Prismacolor Pencils - 9 x 12 sketchbooks (optional, recommended) *All students need to have their own Prismacolors and sketchbooks. Teaching is far more effective if the students can go home and practice with their own supplies. Regular colored pencils aren't near the quality of the "Prismacolor" brand. And these projects won't turn out unless they use that brand. |
